Yes the bible is crystal clear that Hell is a literal place. It is a place of torment with darkness, fire, heat and turmoil.

Yes Hell is eternal. Frankly I wish it wasn't but the bible says it is a place where the worm never dies and the fire is never quenched. 

Hell was created for Satan and the fallen angels but it also serves as a place for everyone who rejects God.

It's so simple, in fact, people who are in hell (hades) now are tormented because they now realize how easy and simple it would have been to be saved.

1. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins
2. Ask Jesus to save you and to be the Lord & Savior of your life 
3. Ask Him to cleanse you of your past and tp help you overcome sin
4. Pray that prayer and genuine mean it in your heart

Jesus uses an illustration in Matthew 5:29-30 to show you how bad Hell really is.

Jesus is making a point that Hell is so bad it would be worth cutting limbs and losing your sight to avoid it. Fortunately for us salvation is a free gift from God if we will believe in Jesus and ask Him for forgiveness.
