What Is the Mark of the Beast? (Revelation 13)

There is coming a time very soon when everyone on the earth will be required to take a mark on their forehead or on their right hand. If you don't take the mark you cannot buy or sell and you may be killed. If you do take the mark you are doomed for hell. You will have to make a choice and it's not a good outcome either way but the bible says "do not worry about the one who can end this life, instead worry about the one who can affect the afterlife."

Does this seem far fetched? A Conspiracy?

Well just imagine how it sounded nearly 2000 years ago before computers, credit cards, bitcoins, electronic paycheck deposits and paper cash. Today we can at least see that it could be possible especially now that the Covid-19 pandemic has everyone talking about a cashless society. Let me propose a scenario that is quite possible in the near future. Do to pandemics the world decides to go cashless. At first everyone uses credit cards but they too can spread germs and even now a growing part of society is using Apple/Google pay at the checkout which does not require a card. Governments could overnight stop cash and cards and required everyone to pay and get paid digitally. Soon, instead of waving a watch you could get an implant in your right hand so that everywhere you go and shop there would be no need for credit cards.

And I saw a beast rising out of the sea, with ten horns and seven heads, with ten diadems on its horns and blasphemous names on its heads. And the beast that I saw was like a leopard; its feet were like a bear's, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. And to it the dragon gave his power and his throne and great authority.

Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.

I pray you never have to make this decision but a time is coming very soon and the people who live during the tribulation period will have to make this choice. Choose Jesus and God forbid your are killed for your choice it's still a way better choice.
