Dangerous and toxic views on hell

First, the dangers of teaching false beliefs (doctrine) about Hell.

1. If Hell is a literal place of eternal torment (and it is), then giving people false information that would lead them to make the wrong the decision is basically damning them to Hell. Ultimately it is each individuals responsibility so the excuse that someone told you wrong will not keep you out of Hell but the people who lead you astray will be punished as well.
2. God will not be happy with you if you mislead people into a false belief that Hell doesn't exist or is not eternal
3. Jesus Christ taught a lot about Hell and mentions what happens to people who lead people astray.

          Matthew 18:6  "If anyone causes one of these little ones--those who believe in me--to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. 

Some denominations of Christianity teach dangerous and damning beliefs on Hell such as Soul Sleep. Usually these beliefs are taught but religious cults who claim to be Christian but they are actually cults such as the Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah's Witness, Latter Day Saint's and others. Unfortunately some Christian denominations also teach false facts about Hell such as the Catholic Church which teaches purgatory. I will address all of these and provide scriptures that prove they are wrong

1. Soul Sleep.  "Soul sleep"—the belief that the soul rests after death in an unconscious state, or ceases to exist.

I was looking online to make sure my ads where showing up when I found another advertisement leading to a YouTube video. This video was produced by the Seventh Day Adventist so I knew what to expect but watched it anyway. They mentioned two scriptures that relate the word "death" or "grave" to sleep. They falsely teach that when a person who does not know Jesus (is not saved) dies he/she will just cease to exist. That fail to mention the countless scriptures that describe Hell as eternal torment. 

Here is where they go wrong. They totally disregard countless scriptures that describe Hell as eternal and torment. They misunderstand the word "sleep" which is simply a metaphor Paul and others use to describe death. Click here for a complete list of scriptures that describe Hell vividly and accurately.
